This update provides a short-term fix for the faulty loading of shopping worlds.
The SYNERGY NETWORKS developers identified another bug relating to the translation feature for categories. As the additional category trees for language and subshops have been removed while the shop IDs still remain in the database, no correct redirects are set.
The following link takes you directly to the ticket in the Shopware Issue Tracker.
In addition, the new translation feature for categories leads to an incorrect assignment of blog articles. Currently, all blog posts, regardless of their translation, are displayed across all language shops.
Here you can find the corresponding ticket in the Issue Tracker.
Attention! If you would like to carry out the Shopware 5.5 update yourself, please observe the correct order. Some extensions, for example, must be updated before the actual Shopware update itself. Ideally, you should create a backup before installing the new update. A Shopware backup is generally always recommended.
In addition, some bugs are currently known (several shopping worlds on one page with positioning are not displayed correctly > a bugfix for this was already provided within a few hours with the Shopware update 5.5.1).

Two features in particular have already won us over. The new additions Product Streams and Digital Publishing make working with Shopware even more efficient and allow you to present products creatively.
Product Streams and Digital Publishing
Product Streams make it easier for shop operators to offer their products to the right customers in a targeted way. They can be seen as a kind of search filter that the merchant can predefine. This way, only certain products are displayed, for example discounted items, brand or seasonal items. The stream is populated in the backend and then shown in the frontend.
Product Streams can be used in shopping worlds, landing pages and product detail pages. Another advantage: the feature can also be used to send data to price portals and marketplaces. This lets you precisely control which products should be transmitted.
Digital Publishing fulfils a dream for many shop operators. The feature allows you to create dynamic banners directly within Shopware. Texts and buttons are then placed on the background quite simply. The banners, which are of course fully responsive from the start, make it possible to integrate 'call-to-action' buttons into shopping worlds.
The modular system is operated via a simple editing mode. A preview lets you test during creation. For good SEO performance, the advertising banners are output in HTML, by the way.
Further new features and information on the Shopware 5.1 update
But other new additions in the Shopware 5.1 update will delight users too. The full-text search Elastic Search is now available from the 'Community Edition' onwards, and Premium as well as Advanced Features allow the search to be adapted to your own needs.
Furthermore, suggestions brought directly to the developers by the merchants have been implemented. From now on, all page information is created via Ajax without reloading. This also creates a more pleasant shopping experience for shop visitors. In addition, the Media Manager has been improved, the master data revised, and the search logic can now be switched from an OR to an AND logic.
- The "Forgotten your password?" function has been completely revised. Should the visitor fill out the relevant form, they will now receive a link that is only valid for a limited time. On the target page, the customer can then enter a new password as usual.
- With SEPA and direct debit, validation can no longer be bypassed, which means the data becomes mandatory in order to place an order.
- Shipping costs are now displayed before selecting a payment method.
- Fixed issues with customer numbers (duplicates).
- If a link is unavailable, the user is redirected to the home page (including for subcategories).
- Fixed issues in the checkout process when using the Microsoft Edge browser (customer orders/customer accounts are no longer lost).
- The "getList method" is supported by the variant API resource; it returns all product variants with attributes and prices (optionally, gross prices can be returned using the "considerTaxInput" parameter).
- In user management, multiple users can now be removed at once.
- If cookies are disabled in advance, the user receives a notice that the shop can only be used in a limited way.

- The expert layout has been removed from the bulk processing in the order module.
- In the newsletter registration, the date is now stored and also displayed in the module.
- The hidden statistics have been removed from the order module.
- In the category overview, the most expensive price is no longer displayed for a “from” price when a discount is applied through price groups (similar to graduated prices).
- The breadcrumb function when browsing through categories has been adjusted.
- The search in the customer list is now linked, meaning you can search for first and last names simultaneously (important when there are many customer accounts with the same surname, e.g. Meier, Müller, etc.).
- Individual vouchers can now be manually set to “redeemed” (important for merchants who link their brick-and-mortar retail with an online shop).
- Issues (possible spoofing) with the email addresses that the customer enters in the contact form have been resolved.
- to speed up the translation of LESS files considerably, developers can now use a ready-made Gruntfile
- with identical prices, graduated prices are no longer marked with a “from” price
- issues with displaying manufacturer logos (overlapping, compression) have been fixed

- items in the shopping experience are now loaded with the matching thumbnails
- registration without a customer account can now be completed without errors
- vouchers are now also available in the various sub-shops and language shops
- theme caches can also be cleared at runtime
- categories that act as a main category (but were not created as such in the category tree) now receive an extended menu
