Google Search Console Professional for Shopware 6

Product information "Google Search Console Professional for Shopware 6"

Search data where your products live

Google Search Console Professional shows your shop's search performance inside the Shopware administration: clicks, impressions, CTR and average position, with no tab switching and no exports. The figures appear as columns in the product list and as a dedicated tab on every product, category and landing page. The "Performance" report covers periods from 24 hours to 16 months, the "Opportunities" page shows where work on titles and descriptions pays off, and you handle sitemaps and URL inspection without opening Search Console.

Your advantages with Google Search Console Professional

  • Key figures on the product: Clicks, impressions, CTR and position in the product list and in the "Search Console" tab on the record.
  • The performance report in Shopware: 24 hours to 16 months, comparison with the previous period or year, filters by query, page, country, device, search type and brand.
  • Opportunities instead of raw data: Queries just short of page one, pages with a low click-through rate, cannibalisation, winners and losers, new and lost queries.
  • URL inspection and sitemaps: Check the index status of individual pages, submit and monitor sitemaps, straight from the administration.
  • Several shops in view: Domain and URL prefix properties, each assigned to a sales channel domain, path filter for language shops.
  • Secure connection: Service account with read access, key stored encrypted, dedicated user permissions in Shopware.

Features at a glance

Overview per property The four key figures of the last 28 days compared with the 28 days before, a trend chart, the strongest queries and pages, the first opportunities, the most visited products, categories and landing pages, and the status of your sitemaps, all on one page.

"Performance" report Periods from 24 hours to 16 months, comparison with the preceding period or the previous year, chart by day, week or month. Tables by query, page, country, device, search appearance and day. Filters by query, page, country, device and search type, and by searches with or without your brand name; you store the brand terms in the plugin configuration. Reports can be saved under a name and shared with colleagues, and every table exports as CSV.

Opportunities Five analyses based on your Search Console data: queries for which a page ranks at position 8 to 20, sorted by potential; pages with fewer clicks than their position suggests; several of your own pages competing for the same query; winners and losers between two periods; new and lost queries. One click opens the "Performance" report for that combination.

Figures in the shop Product, category and landing page lists show clicks, impressions, CTR and position as columns, sortable and filterable for 7, 28 or 90 days. Every record has a "Search Console" tab with key figures, queries, addresses reported by Google and index status. The values are taken over from Search Console every hour.

URL inspection Search for a product, category or landing page, or enter a URL. The result: indexed, indexed with issues or not indexed, with details on crawling, indexing, canonical URL and sitemaps, plus a direct link into Search Console. The plugin shows the daily quota used; Google allows 2,000 inspections per property and day.

Sitemaps Status and discovered pages per sitemap. Submit, resubmit or remove sitemaps straight from the administration.

Multiple properties Domain and URL prefix properties, each assigned to a sales channel domain. A path filter is available for language shops running under a path such as /en/.

Who is Google Search Console Professional for?

  • Shops that want to know which products Google shows and which it does not
  • SEO managers who switch between Shopware and Search Console every day
  • International shops with several domains and language shops
  • Teams that check indexing problems on individual products or categories
  • Editorial teams that need figures on their own work but have no access to Search Console

Technical information and compatibility

Shopware 6.7 or higher. You need a verified property in Google Search Console and a service account with permission on that property; submitting sitemaps requires more than read permission for the service account in Search Console. Setup takes four steps: enter a name, upload the JSON key, select the property, assign the sales channel domain. A scheduled task reads the figures for the lists every hour, so Shopware's scheduled tasks need to be running. The module ships with its own user permissions and adapts to both the light and the dark administration theme. Installation via Extensions → My extensions.

Our recommendation

Start with the property of your main shop, let the scheduled tasks run once, then sort the product list by impressions. For products with many impressions and few clicks, the "Search Console" tab shows what people searched for. View it in the Shopware Store now or request a consultation.

Google Search Console FAQ

You search for a product, a category or a landing page by name and have its URL inspected without having to look up the address yourself; alternatively, you enter a URL directly. The result clearly states whether the URL is on Google, is indexed with issues or is not indexed, and shows the details: whether crawling is allowed, whether a noindex applies, which canonical URL Google has chosen, via which sitemaps the page was found and when it was last crawled. If needed, a link takes you directly to Google Search Console. Google limits inspections to 2,000 per property per day. The plugin also uses this mapping in the top pages: for every reported URL, the underlying product or the category or landing page appears, with a link into the administration.

The property overview shows clicks, impressions, CTR and average position for the last 28 days per property; these values are cached so that the list opens quickly. In the detail view, you switch between 7, 28 and 90 days and also see the 25 most important search queries and pages. Statistics data is not stored permanently in the shop. Since the Search Console provides its data with a delay of a few days, the evaluated period ends three days before today's date. Deactivated properties no longer query anything from Google.

The key is stored encrypted in your shop and cannot be written via the entity API. It does not appear in any API response and therefore in no browser window; only the service account email and a short identifying excerpt remain visible. Users without edit permission do not even see the controls for the service account. To replace it, you enter a new key; using “Remove key” you delete it from the property.

Three steps in the Google Cloud Console and the Search Console: a project with the Search Console API enabled, a service account with a JSON key, and sharing this service account as a user of the desired property; read access is enough. You then create a property in the administration under “Dashboard >Search Console”; the wizard guides you in four steps through basic data, service account, selection of the Search Console property and assignment of the sales channel domain. The plugin requests read-only access from Google and changes nothing in your Search Console.
