Product information "Push Notifications (OneSignal) for Shopware 6"
Reach customers even when the shop is closed
Push Notifications (OneSignal) integrates the OneSignal push system into your Shopware 6 shop. Visitors subscribe with one click; after that you reach them with small message windows on the desktop or smartphone – whether or not the shop is currently open.
Discount campaigns, new products, blog posts: you decide what to announce. Relevant user information from the shop is available in the OneSignal Dashboard, so you can build recipient groups instead of always messaging everyone.
Your benefits with Push Notifications (OneSignal)
- A channel without an inbox: The message appears in the browser rather than in a crowded email inbox.
- Targeted instead of everyone: In the OneSignal Dashboard you build segments by filtering user information from the shop.
- For main, sub and language shops: Main and sub-shops run via domain-based OneSignal apps, language shops are managed via tags.
- In your own look: Colours and texts of the opt-in dialogs are configured per shop.
- Consent taken into account: Since version 3.1.0 an integration for cookie management with Usercentrics is included; the cookie group can be set per sales channel.

Push Notifications FAQ
An OneSignal account and a shop that runs entirely over HTTPS; the integration does not work without HTTPS. In OneSignal, you create an app for each domain and receive an APP ID, a Safari Web ID and an API key there. You enter these three values in the plugin configuration and have the credentials checked there using a button. Sending and evaluating the messages themselves then takes place in the OneSignal dashboard.
A OneSignal app applies to one domain at a time. Each shop with its own domain therefore gets its own app and is managed independently. Language shops that run via a virtual URL of the main domain, such as mein-shop.de/en, use the main shop's app instead; their connection data must match those of the main shop. So that you can still distinguish by language, the plugin passes the language setting to OneSignal as a tag, from which you can create one segment per language in the dashboard.
Yes, using tags that the plugin provides in addition to the OneSignal defaults. These include the customer group abbreviation, salutation, first and last name, date and year of birth, postcode and city of the billing address, newsletter status, date and time of the last login, and the shop name. In the OneSignal dashboard, you filter by these tags and create segments from them, for example all customers of a particular customer group or region.
For subscription, the subscribe bell and a slide prompt are available. You configure the position, spacing in CSS units, colours as hex, RGB or plain-text values and all texts per shop, as well as the title and content of the welcome message and the point in time from which the slide prompt appears. This is only displayed once the visitor has accepted the relevant cookies, either via “Accept all cookies” or specifically via the convenience function in the Shopware cookie notice. If you use Usercentrics, activate the Usercentrics option instead and enter the cookie title assigned there.
