Barely a week after the minor release, Shopware published 6.7.15.1 on 7 October. The patch release addresses six items, two of which Shopware classifies as critical: rules in the Rule Builder that had been overlooking cart line items since 6.7.14.0, and theme files that were deleted too early after recompiling. On top of that there are two fixes for errors from 6.7.14.0 and 6.7.15.0, another change to the GARAN label in the order confirmation, and the full guarantee notice in the checkout. The release does not bring any new features.
What changes in day-to-day shop operations
- Rules once again consider all cart line items Since 6.7.14.0, rules in the Rule Builder that check the cart had only been considering normal products. If another line item was in the cart, such as a credit or a line item from a plugin, Shopware reported that shipping methods could disappear or promotions could fail to apply when the rule was phrased negatively, for example with “are none of”. Now the rules consider all line items again. Nothing needs to be changed in plugins.
- Theme files remain for a day after recompiling After recompiling a theme, for example during an update, Shopware could delete the previous theme files immediately. Pages that were still served from the cache or a CDN then no longer found their stylesheets and scripts. Now the old files remain for at least 24 hours after the switch before Shopware cleans them up.
- GARAN label in the order confirmation, third change in a row Shopware has once again reworked the technology behind the label in the email, according to the company so that it also works during a running update with servers operating in parallel. Shops with an unchanged standard template get this automatically. Anyone who has customised the template themselves must, according to Shopware, adjust it once more, see the developer section.
- Digital products: order quantity again follows the setting Since 6.7.14.0, customers could only buy one unit of a digital product per order, regardless of what was configured on the product. Now the maximum purchase quantity on the product applies again. Anyone who wants to stick with one unit enters 1 there.
- Sales channels of the product comparison type can be saved again Since 6.7.15.0, sales channels that are neither Storefront nor headless could no longer be saved if their default currency was not in the currency list. This works again now.
- Full guarantee notice in the checkout A new setting in the cart settings displays the statutory guarantee notice in the checkout as full text below the terms and conditions instead of just as a link. It is off by default and requires the notice to be switched on. The 6.6 series has had this since 6.6.10.28; you can find the background in the entry there. Merchants must assess for themselves whether and how this applies to their own shop.
What you should check before the update
- Digital products After the update, customers can once again buy more than one unit if no maximum purchase quantity of 1 is set on the product. Review this once beforehand.
- Customised rules Anyone who has reworked rules to work around missing shipping methods or blocked promotions should review them once after the update. The conditions now apply again as they did before 6.7.14.0.
- Custom order confirmation email Anyone who has maintained the template themselves must adjust the GARAN part again. With an unchanged standard template, nothing needs to be done.
- If you are still below 6.7.15.0 Go directly to 6.7.15.1 and observe the notes on the Administration rework from the entry for 6.7.15.0.
For developers and connected systems
- Rule Builder The line item conditions now evaluate a line item based on the data it carries, no longer based on its type. Since 6.7.14.0, custom and credit line items as well as line items from extensions were affected, according to Shopware for example under “Item with tag / All / Are none of”. Custom line item types work again without any adjustment.

Theme directories
Previously, the age of
public/theme/was counted from compilation, not from the switch; a theme compiled weeks ago was removed immediately during the next cleanup, and pages from the HTTP cache or CDN ran into 404s. The scheduled tasktheme.delete_filesnow works in two stages: first it marks an unused directory with a.retiredfile, provided all files are older than 24 hours, and in a later run it deletes it once the marking is at least 24 hours old; with the daily interval, this means 24 to 48 hours after the switch. A reactivated directory (for exampletheme:change --no-compile) loses the marking, and a directory with a running compilation remains untouched.theme:compileandtheme:changeno longer clean up themselves, which 6.7.14.0 had introduced;--no-cleanupis deprecated, has no effect, and will be removed with 6.8.0.0, so remove it from deploy scripts. Since cleanup now only runs via the scheduled task, as we read it, nothing happens without running scheduled tasks. -
GARAN in email templates
The order confirmation reads the label from the new template variable
garanLabels; the Twig filtersw_garan_label_mailfrom 6.7.15.0 is deprecated. In customised templates, replacenestedItem.productId|sw_garan_label_mail(context)withgaranLabels[nestedItem.productId] ?? null, and in the text version replacelineItem.productId|sw_garan_label_mail(context)withgaranLabels[lineItem.productId] ?? null.garanLabelsis passed to every email template that references the variable and has anorderin its data. According to the changelog file for the parallel 6.6 change,GaranLabelMailSubscribersets the variable onMailBeforeValidateEvent, so that in a blue-green deployment templates do not need a filter that nodes with older code do not recognise; the filter therefore continues to work. A migration only rewrites the template in shops that have never edited it. -
Digital products
maxPurchaseapplies again; if the value is missing, for example with products created via the API,core.cart.maxQuantitytakes effect. For one unit per order, setmaxPurchaseto1. -
Sales channels
Types other than Storefront and headless (product comparison, Agentic Commerce, types from extensions) are no longer rejected with
SYSTEM__NO_GIVEN_DEFAULT_CURRENCY_IDwhen the default currency is not in the currency list. Storefront and headless still require it. -
Guarantee notice
New system configuration
core.cart.showLegalGuaranteeNoticeInline, effective only whencore.cart.showLegalGuaranteeNoticeis active. Placement via the blockspage_checkout_confirm_legal_guarantee_notice_inlineandpage_checkout_confirm_legal_guarantee_notice_inline_bottom. -
Upgrade notes
UPGRADE-6.7.mddoes not contain a dedicated section for 6.7.15.1.
Our recommendation:
Anyone who applies rules to the cart, uses plugins with their own cart line items, or runs behind a cache or CDN should install the update promptly; the two critical items affect exactly these shops. For everyone else it is an ordinary patch release, so the risk should be correspondingly low. For testing in the staging environment: create a cart with a plugin line item and check shipping methods and promotions; add a digital product with a quantity of 2 to the cart; send an order confirmation to a Gmail or Outlook address and keep an eye on the GARAN label.
